Ben Obese-Jecty

Ben Obese-Jecty is a Conservative activist and campaigner in inner city London, where he stood against Diane Abbott in Hackney North and Stoke Newington in the general election 2019. He is a former Army Officer, commissioned from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, as an officer in the 1st Battalion The Duke of Wellington’s Regiment (West Riding), now The Yorkshire Regiment. Ben saw service in Basra, Iraq, and as part of a mentoring team embedded with the Afghan National Army in Sangin, Afghanistan.

He now works in the financial sector in the City of London and volunteers for the Veterans Advisory and Pension Committee, working to improve the lives of veterans and servicepersons. He is a Trustee of Esher Sixth Form College, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, where he is Linked Trustee for Safeguarding.
